12 arbitration courts of the Russian Federation, including the Arbitration court for the Moscow region and the Arbitration courtfor the Moscow district, provided the opportunity to hold online meetings. Thecorresponding insert "online sessions" appeared on the website of theMoscow Arbitration court. However, Moscow City Arbitration Court is still not included to the list of courts where using of online sessions is possible.

It is essential that only users with confirmed accounts on Unified Identification and Authentication Systemaccounts are allowed to participate in online court sessions and such anonline session may be organized only under the application of the parties tothe dispute.

If the corresponding possibility to participate inonline court sessions will be available after the end of the pandemic, it will replace thevideoconferencing system that allowed to participate in arbitration courtsessions from other arbitration courts. The videoconferencing system was not reallyeffective, as the courts often rejected the corresponding application for its using due to the lack of technical equipment or inaccessibility of the officewith video conferencing system, which worked oneday or even one hour a week in certain courts.

The possibility to take part in the meeting remotely,including from another region or your office, and saving time and stressing from standing inline in front of the hearing room are with no doubt among the key benefits ofonline court sessions.
